ENJOY THE ARCHIPELAGO IN NAUVO - NAGU

More islands

The ferryboats in the Archipelago run 13 different routes trough which you can reach some hundred island. Additionally you have connections to the Aland islands. The fees are very moderate.

GULLKRONA

Gullkrona island is a very popular goal for boating people in the Archipelago.  A visit to the picturesque island with its marina can be warmly recommended also for non boating visitors.

The easiest, and also cheapest way to get to Gullkrona island is by the ferryboat ms Fiskö. You will board the boat at Prostvik or Kirjais, in which case the sea voyage is only some twenty minutes.   The boat leaves Monday to Thursday from Prostvik  8:00 in the morning or at 9.05 from Kirjais.  You will be back to Kirjais at 16:00 or to Prostvik at 18:30.  Remember to inform the skipper that you will take the boat back in the afternoon!

On the island you will find a little fishing village with a nature trail, a guest harbour, fresh and smoked fish for sale and a small chapel.

Monica Aaltonen  offers lunch or dinner, served on her veranda with a wonderful view over the sea.  There are many birds and ducks for bird- watchers.  You may even spot a seal if you are lucky ! Before dinner you can use the sauna and swim in the crystal clear water.

You can take the ferry ms Eivor to  the Aspö island. The ferry can carry 190 passengers and has a restaurant on board.  The ferry leaves from Pärnäs in Nauvo on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8:15 and Wendsdays at 11:30. You will be back on Mondays and Tuesdays at 17:15 and Wendsdays at 22:30.   Please remember to inform the skipper that you will return in the afternoon!

Alternatively you can take ms Eivor all the way to the Utö island and back.
